About Us
Stonnington Dance & Physical Culture was founded in 2013 by Kathryn Taylor and Tracey McConnell, sisters with a passion for dance and lifelong affiliation with the Physie community. As the club began to grow, classes were added in Malvern and Surrey Hills for girls and women 3 years and up.
All classes are taught by our four highly experienced and passionate teachers; Kathryn Taylor, Tracey Simpson, Amelia Cherny and Georgia Cherny.
Stonnington Dance and Physical Culture is part of the very successful BJP Physical Culture organisation. With over 100 clubs across Australia, BJP is empowering girls and woman right across the country.
Physie covers a range of dance types including warm up, ballet, exercises, aerobic dance, jazz, hip hop, stretch, yoga. Girls will develop strength, grace, good posture, musical interpretation and confidence. And they'll never get bored! It is also a great sport where mums and daughters can dance together and share a special interest.
BJP Physie is the only dance sport with variety, where girls can learn five kinds of dance and exercise in every class. It's five times the fun at a fraction of the price. Classes start from less than $10 a lesson.
